The Douglas Fir is one of the top major Christmas tree species in the United States. The 1 - 1.5 inch needles are soft and dark green blue in color, radiating in all directions from the branch.   The entire range at which the Douglas Fir grows includes central California, Western Oregon and Washington, parts of the Rockies, and extends up to Alaska.
